Dwarf Black Olive (bucida spinosa)

Native to the Caribbean and parts of Florida. Not the edible olive that we all know and love, but does produce a small, black seed-capsule. Flowers are insignificant. An evergreen tree with a smooth trunk when young. Grows normally with a dense full canopy. Ours is trained in the traditional bonsai style with a curved, knobby, lichenous spotted trunk with exposed roots. The lush, dark bluish/green, leathery leaves can be over 2" long and are clustered at the branch tips, sometimes mixed with 1" long spines found along the branches. Loves the sun and heat. Do not expose to temperatures below 40F. Does great indoors. 47 years old. 18"x19"x28". Potted in a 13" round brown drum mica container as shown. Suitable 14.5"x10.5" humidity tray is recommended. Cascade - Wire Tree Sculpture 22"x13"x18"

This one of a kind tree sculpture is created by prominent artist Sal Villano and is fashioned with wire gage sizes ranging from 32 to 18. The wire used is bronze anodized aluminum wire which will retain its strength and color for many years. This is the same wire that we use to train bonsai trees. The tree sculpture is bonded onto its base, which is a 9" round pot using sea sand. Since the bond is made onto a pourous material, a water soluable glue is used and, therefore, the sculpture should never be placed in a dishwasher. Flowering Crabapple (malus sargenti)

$ 255.00 Flowering Crabapples are one of the best flowering trees for bonsai. They produce beautiful 1/2" white and pink, fragrant flowers covering the entire tree in early spring before the foliage appears. The foliage is small and lobed. Little green pomes (apples) appear in summer, derived from the enlargement of the entire flower receptacle which becomes fleshy. The fruit ripens to all different colors in the fall when the foliage begins to turn shades of yellow, orange and red. Winter brings a nice twiggy skeletal outline punctuated by the fruit which persists throughout the winter. The are easy to grow and quite pest resistant. Decideous. Native to Japan, the Kingsville Boxwood is an extremely slow growing tree. It has the smallest leaf of all boxwoods which is why it is sought after for bonsai. The Kingsville Boxwood is an evergreen tree that has light green leaves and which has excellent branching charachteristics.
